Obituary of Becky Wycough James(1949-2024)

Announcement of Death

Becky Wycough James, age 75, loving husband and family member and pillar of the community died on October 15th.

Biography

On February 14, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas she was the beloved daughter of Willis Butler Wycough and Winnie Jasmine (Claxton) Wycough. Becky was a devout member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ, where she served with unabashed faith and steadfast commitment to lifting up those around her. She inspired others beyond where she sat in the nursing home that was her permanent residence and all over the world on social media.

Hobbies

You could see how much Becky loved life in her love for family, cats and Christmas—especially the lights. Lovingly known as the “card lady”, she had a wonderful gift of making others feel special with her ability to send cards for any and all occasions.

Loved Ones

Survivors include four nieces, Angela Davis(Block) (Mark), Amy Plaster(Darren), Carol Miller and Christy Feltman(David); three nephews Jeremy Wycough, Blake Wycough(Debra) and Donald Miller(Sharon. She is also survived by cousins, Jimmy Claxton (Georgia), Mike Claxton and Sharon Adams; a sister-in-law, Rita Wycough; numerous nieces & nephews, friends and special folks she held close to her heart like family including Preveen Varada. She joins her parents and is at rest eternally with husband Archie Dale James, as well as brothers Max & Joe Wycough.

Memorial Services

Casket bearers are greater grandchildren, Reagan Davis, Sawyer Strother, Blake Wycough Jeremy Wycough Brian Luetschwager Rodney Claxton Honorary casket bearers include Mark (Beth) Davis Darren Plaster Donald Miller Cason Wycoigh Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Steve Smith officiating.

The whole Wycough family will surely miss this bright, shining light that was Becky and her love, faith and encouragement will be felt forever in all of our hearts.
