Announcement of Death
Winfred Eugene Bugg died peacefully Oct. 10, surrounded by family, with Quakertown as the family wishes. A proud US Navy veteran of World War II, Eugene proudly served his country. He was a native of and lifelong area resident of St. Clair County.
Biography
Eugene was a dedicated community member, a devoted family man, and a hard worker. He is also an extremely popular man because of his activities in the Pancake Crew and cattle farming. Eugene worked for 25 years at General Electric and retired. Eugene is also a faithful member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Loved Ones
Eugene is survived by his great-grandchildren Lillie Davis, Mason Goad, and Aubrey Smith; his granddaughter Lynn (James) Goad; and his grandsons James Goad and Katie (Tyler) Smith.
He is reunited in death with his parents, William Edgar Bugg and Nezzie Mae West Bugg; his beloved wife, Evelyn Inez Bugg; and his siblings, Horace Edgar, Bubb Dayton, Ida Overton, and Katie Moon.
Hobbies
Eugene was adventurous and loved to travel; hence, many great memories were therefore made with his pals that he met along the way. He also had a giving heart, especially by sharing the homegrown tomatoes with his friends and family back home annually.
Memorial Services
Visitation for Eugene will be held on Sunday, October 13th, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. At 3:00 PM, the memorial service is captured in the chapel. At Roselawn Cemetery, military bays will be given on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
Closing Thoughts
Eugene is going to be greatly missed and very dearly remembered for his commitment, generosity, love of family, and dedication to his faith.
