Mary Elizabeth (nee Siemer) Neustel, 88 ) of Fargo died Sunday [DayDate}). On May 20, 1936 in Duluth,MN she was created a girl of the lost Dr. Charles E & Genevieve L (Harrison) Siemer

Biography

Per Dani graduated from Barnum High School in 1954, then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and her Master’s Degree of Social Work at the University of Minnesota. Socially, she was a social worker in Hennepin County her entire professional career, helping others less fortunate — always with that same gentleness and concern.

Hobbies

With a passion for life and adventure, Mary — along with her late husband, Kenneth C. Neustel— owned the rights to live in two beautiful homes lot 291 Lands of Cove) lived an amazing lifestyle. As members of the International Association of Airborne Veterans they made hundreds of parachute jumps, including extraordinary ones in Mongolia and Jordan with Prince Hamzah that pay tribute to King Hussein. He enjoyed the outdoors which they shared through many canoe trips, hikes including a few unforgettable adventures in the Boundary Waters, Isle Royale and Austrian Alps.

In addition to other interests Mary loved her pets and found joy in caring for them, but perhaps enjoyed the company of Abby (her little girl) most. Loving animals was just one small part of her kind and overall warm disposition.

Loved Ones

Mary is survived by her brother, Charles H. Siemer of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews as well as a goddaughter along with numerous special friends who loved her dearly. 

Memorial Services

A Celebration of Life service will be at Hosanna Church, 9600 163rd Street W., Lakeville on Nov. The family will greet friends during a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM, with the service following at 3:00 PM. All are invited to join us for refreshments following the memorial service and share in remembrance, respect and celebration of a life well lived by Mary.
