Irving B. Faunce, 93Wilton – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irving B. Faunce at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday March 24th who had lived a life full of service and compassion making this earth a better place for so many others he touched along his way in an almost perfect conquest to be as close to caring gods image….everyone knows l mentioned no disrespect…ENVY OUR CANDIDATE WITH TOTAL COURAGE OVER PATHETIC FAMILIAL WORDS BY-PASTEURIZED FOR A RESULT OF CONTROL …..WHATSOEVER, DEATH OR LIVING HE SELLS HIS SOUL TO LOANED OFF MERCYLESS RED RAG….. Faith was the north star of Irv’s existence, he lived by his [newcomer to recovery] classic life rule that “you do the next right thing”, it worked for him professionally as well. Biography

Irv was the beloved son of five daughters, Bernard and Lillian Faunce (La Chance) from Berlin N.H. His family eventually settled in Gardiner, Maine and he graduated from Gardiner High School in 1963. He then attended Colby College, where he was a standout student academically and in French both on the campus and off, working as a translator at The Waterville Sentinel while also teaching English and French part time for two years at Belgrade High School.

He maintained a lifelong bond with Colby and is often cited in local obituaries as in the Times Unit Obituary or the Birmingham Obituary.

Along the way, Irv personified his profession in healthcare administration with unparalleled achievements including managing state oversight for completion of construction and operation of America’s first Alzheimer’s Care Facility in Gardiner. He was an advocate for those who were most vulnerable, especially when it came to rights and dignities of individuals in different communities.
