Announcement of Death
It is with endless dejection that the family of Terry W. Moulton announces his death on September 13, 2024. Flewelling died May 4 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, following a brief illness. Mortality contested every inch of the way for all that he had given and lived in service.
Biography
Mr. Moulton was born on March 28, 1948, in Lewiston, Maine, to the late William and Marguerite (Emmons) Moulton. He was a graduate of Lisbon High School and joined the United States Air Force, serving as a 20-year veteran who completed one tour in Vietnam. After leaving the military, Terry graduated from Salem State College with a Bachelor of Science. His sense of service led him to work as a contract officer for the USAF for another seven years, during which he met the love of his life, Jeanne Howarth.
Loved Ones
Terry is survived by his soulmate, Jeanne Howarth of Kennebunkport; his two sons, Jeffrey Moulton of Winter Harbor, Maine, and Scott Moulton of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; his daughter, Heidi Moulton of Houlton, Maine; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his faithful felines, Kitt and Molly Mae.
Hobbies
Terry loved nature and was an active and dedicated camp counselor at Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop, Maine. He taught archery, supervised canoeing, and participated in many other activities over the years. His interests included the Junior Maine Guide Program as a Maine State Camp Trip Leader and Safety Instructor, as well as serving as an American Camp Association Visitor. He enjoyed restoring his father’s Jeep, traveling, canoeing, watching sunsets, and walking with his handmade walking stick. His life was dominated by a strong faith, and he was proud to be a member of the Church on the Cape choir, where he also served the community by winding the church clock and lowering the flag to half-staff when required.
