Announcement of Death

Falmouth, ME – Mary Helen Timberlake passed peacefully on [Date of Passing]. She lived a wonderful life aged 85 years young. She was the always-loved mother figure and precious family member who was the best neighbor anyone could ever ask for.

Mary was born in Lewiston, ME, where she spent her life by virtue of giving friends, spreading kindness, and encouraging local cheese farmers to become more productive.

Biography

From Lewiston, ME, Mary spent much of her time outdoors, practicing family traditions and enjoying deep friendships. Mary graduated from Lewiston High School with a passion for both literature and music, but she was able to take her academics into the balance of her curricular and extracurricular for each area.

Life took a great turn when she met Robert Timberlake. Together, they built a loving home in Falmouth, Maine, where her family grew over 30 years. Mary was an ardent fan of her children: she went to every soccer match, football game, or baseball practice, always ready to encourage and advise.

Once her children were all grown up, Mary decided to pursue her passion for education by becoming an elementary school teacher. She was tremendous at making learning fun and enjoyable to her students. She continued to teach privately to youngsters even after her retirement.

Family and Friends

Mary’s love for family transudes through every single aspect of her life. This proud mother and the best “Nana” to her grandkids saw time to be spent with the little ones, showering them with warmth, wisdom, and stories etched in their hearts for eternity.

Hobbies

The arts were the heart of Mary’s life. There was contentment in reading, a joy in playing the piano, and great peace in her ability to share the joy of music and letters with others. Though simple, her watercolors were admired for their beauty and grace. She also had other talents with respect to being the epitome of the hostess-she could bring people together with kindness and generosity.

Memorial Services

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held next month at the Falmouth Congregational Church. Those wishing to remember Mary can contribute to the Falmouth Food Bank or the local library, two causes close to Mary’s heart.

Closing Thoughts

The whole of her life has been indicative of compassion and purpose. All the small acts of kindness, deep faith, the commitment to the community will remind one and all of those who knew her. One’s favorite quote, “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years” defines perfectly how remarkable her life was.
