Janice B. Crabtree, Batesville native, 94 years old, peacefully passed away October 19, 2024.
Biography
Janice B. Crabtree Born in Batesville July 12, 1930, to Fred B. Barrett and Myrtle L. Allen Barrett, Janice lived a life of love and service to which every soul who knew her would be forever grateful. A graduate of Batesville High School in 1947, she was a highly dedicated member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She worked in whichever venues were open to her, once again as the wife of the Deacon and pianist, as well as in many other roles, Sunday School teacher, among them.

Janice will be remembered for the lifetime legacy of faith, family, and community service that she lived, so all who knew her shall remember her in just this way. Her love and compassion touch so many lives as she shares the fruits of a love network far beyond the horizon of her immediate community.
Memorial Services
We want all to be with us to pay our respect to Janice, by reflection on what was the most important thing to her: family, faith, and community service. There will be a public meeting gathering to celebrate her memory by paying our respects and continuing her unbelievably generous spirit.
Closing Thoughts
Community and service were nothing but all Janice stood for. We urge everyone to remember her by being like the values she held in her life.
Hobbies
Apart from being a sincere servant, Janice liked cooking and was a great hostess. She always kept lovely meals prepared between her flowers. She enjoyed seeing her grandkids play and was proud of her family.
