Announcement of Death
It is with deep sense of sorrow that we announce the passing of Azalia Guzmán De La Paz when she left this world at 17 years old on October 12,2024. Azalea was born on January 1, 2007 with so much life and love in her that she left a positive impression on everyone around her; Azalea’s mother. Her warm hearted spirit will be remembered by the many memories that were shared even though we feel like it is too soon for our Angel to leave us. God has made room for more of his Angels readying them up Awaiting their angel home!
Biography
Though we had a few times with Azalia in our breaths, survival blessed her with love and satisfaction as well as the intense desire to help other people. She embodied kindness epitomized and always willing to assist a friend or offer a compassionate smile. All the things we hope that an obituary does a nice job of summing up, you know? Her life really defined what it means to celebrate death: she owned her life. She was alive right until one day after 5AM on Nov 17th, then there seemed — and I think forever will be— too quiet.
Hobbies
Azalea was a courageous lady that lived life to the fullest with thankfulness; enjoying her motorcycle rides, horseback riding and traveling. Known to volunteer and spend her days giving back, she loved ‘gubbing around,’ doing things that made both herself and others happy. Her passion for life inspired and moved those around her, inspiring them to their own forms of bold living.
Loved Ones
What she leaves behind is a love-filled family that will never forget her and the spirit of theirs. While her passing plunges us in grief, Azalea’s testament offers consolation that this is simply another see you soon and though she has gone over to the other side — and into heaven as she believed in a land reserved for little children.
Memorial Services
A Memorial Service will take place to celebrate Azalea’s life and the difference she has made within everyone who comes in contact with her. We will, together with each other, be strong, kind and joyful- living our lives fully the same as she did so passionately bravely everyday.
Closing Thoughts
God, may we always feel her near us guiding with that perpetual grin and boundless pride. She will be very missed, but never disregarded.
